A stunningly dedicant take on a humble favorite, made for a center of the plate for a nice dinner date!
If you're just in the mood for a simple yet elevated grilled, take out the jam, slap your favorite cheese and let our Ghee bring it home.
Ingredients
- 4 oz Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 oz Mozzarella cheese
- 4 thick slices Sourdough bread
- 2-3 sprigs thyme
- 1 tbsp Ancient Organics Salted Ghee
- 1 tbsp fig jam
- Salt & pepper

Instructions
Build the Sandwiches
- Layer the Monterey Jack and Mozzarella cheese, fig jam, and a few leaves of thyme between the 4 slices of sourdough bread and close them together to make two sandwiches.
- Spread ghee on the outside of each slice (about ½ tbsp).
Cook the Ghrilled Cheese
- Melt the remaining ½ tbsp of ghee in a skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add the two sandwiches and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Once golden on each side, carefully add about 2 tbsp of water into the skillet and cover immediately. Let the sandwich steam for 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Check for the Perfect Crispiness - Serve & enjoy!
