Our Mission
From the well nourished, nutrient rich soil to our food and finally our bodies, we recognize the interconnectedness of being.
Ancient Organics seeks to restore the health of the body, mind and earth through connecting communities with their local food systems.
Our Principles
Eat Good Fat: Essential fat is an important part of a balanced diet.
Humans Thrive On Balanced Energy: Good fat is digested easily, providing a sustainable source of energy to the body.
Local And Organic Rejuvenates: Eating Local and Organic provides higher nutrition, increased ingredient vitality and better taste, while supporting local farmers, reducing carbon expenditure and promoting waste-less consumption.
Honoring Tradition: Ancient cultures recognized the impact of season and time on the quality of food production. This knowledge and these practices provide the fundamental tools to create and maintain health in the present.
Our History
Ancient Organics was founded in 2003 by two Ayurvedic practitioners. While studying in India, they were taught the wide praises and benefits bestowed upon ghee by Ayurveda. Upon returning to the Bay area, they started making their own ghee. Using the tradtional methods they were taught in India combined with the Supreme quality of butter from their local creamery, Ancient Organics Ghee was born.
As requests increased from friends and family, it became clear Ancient Organics Ghee had particularly exquisite qualities. They knew much of this had to do with the source of their organic pastured butter: Straus Family Creamery, along with the strict adherence to the ancient techniques and considerations of ghee-making.
Today, Ancient Organics Ghee is sold in many natural grocery stores throughout the country while maintaining a strong presence in the Bay Area. Our uncompromising commitment to quality and authenticity sets the highest standard in the market today.
We would like to thank all the individuals who have supported our vision over the years through their generous donation of time and energy.
